How many hours a week are interns expected to work?
Typically, part-time interns an average of 20 hours per week while full-time interns work around 40 hours. Contact us for more information related to your specific internship program.
Who is eligible to apply for an internship?
Current students or recent graduates, preferably in Marketing, Communication, PR, Journalism, or related fields, are welcome to apply for any internship they feel they will learn and grow the most in!
Can I apply for several internships?
Of course! However, you can only be accepted for one internship. This will be further discussed with you should you become a top candidate for one or more of the positions you have applied for.
Can international students apply?
International students are more than welcome to apply! If you have any questions at all, contact the person listed on the internship you’re interested in.
I don’t live in Chicago. Can I apply?
Yes! We have two office locations, Chicago and Southwest Florida. Internships are available in both areas. Work options are negotiable for those concerned about their candidacy due to distance.
I don’t have a background in the preferred fields. Can I still apply?
Yes! If you have a talent for writing, editing, design, PR, or marketing, don’t hesitate to apply! We consider each applicant on a case-by-case basis given the needs and requirements of the company at the time of employment.
What is your process for evaluating candidates?
We evaluate candidates as we receive completed submissions during normal business hours, Monday to Friday. An evaluation committee includes OneIMS executives and heads of corresponding departments. Candidates that we are interested will receive an invitation for an interview and will know the result of their application by the end of the review process, if not sooner.
